Has it really been 5 months?

Whoa, sorry herman, I haven't replied in a few days. A lot has happened. I regularly drink alcohol LEGALLY now, I've moved from the punk house to a sweet craftsman house and now in Houston!

 Falcor and I traveled from LA to TX just about 3 weeks ago, and had a blast (Minus him getting sick, but I don't want to embarrass him on the internet for having diarrhea)!

I am worried though because my diet might be getting me sick. I have been bruising sooo much lately, and have now three white patches of skin on my shoulder. It may be a B12 deficiency, and I am working towards fixing it. Vitamins, ftw! I have been playing a throw-back lately, on my DS Lite Pokemon Leaf Green. It kicks ass. I always forget though how annoying game-life is without running shoes. Recently got those suckers, thanks ma. Not any other games, though. Have you been playing anything worth steaming? Let a sister know.

 I spent some time in Austin, and found it to be exactly what I always thought, overrated. Seeing the capital is cool, but that's about it.

Fal liked the graffiti wall, I think. I took a lot of thug photos with him & the murals.

Just the other day (it was yesterday I'm stupid) Falcor and I walked thru a park near the heights, and it was gorgeous! So green and peaceful, and full of homeless folk.

The Wedding Alarm Clock

hello, beautiful.

Today my wedding alarm clock went off like CRAZY.

Ben and I checked out some houses to purchase, and of course, I feel in love. Unfortunately we have to wait to be pre-approved for a mortgage loan before we can purchase a home (of any price). 

The one I wanted was WAY cheaper than the one Ben wanted (first time for anything).

Also, Ben and I had a cake tasting... SO DELICIOUS. CUPCAKES IN MY BELLY, PLEASE.

We went to Stuffed Cakes, and let me just tell you, the owner is the nicest, most comfortable person to be around. She even gabbed wedding decor with me (THANK GOD) I really needed that since I feel like I'm by myself here!

Anyways, how are you doing? How is the precious Falkor?

I am so sorry to hear about your rough week, but I am so happy to know that you and Falkor can keep each other responsible and accountable! It will be hardest and most enjoyable aspect of your life (owning a dog, I mean).

So I decided to start a personal blog today... Like a real one.

I want to be able to let out my frustrations (since I don't have friends up here to vent to) about the city, crafting, my wedding, losing weight, being insecure, becoming a woman (by societal standards), and ultimately how us girls juggle EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. It's been a ruff week.

Buenas, Viktoria. I realized today that you are really not caught up on my life- AT ALL! I guess to start things off, the guy I told you about before, yeah, we broke up. Oh well. Second, I now have a dog! I told you the story of how he fell into my lap, but tl;dr I saved him from being sent to the pound although I was not ready to own him, yet. He is very timid and scared of humans, but he is becoming very social with the house mates. He is a shweenie, part Shih Tzu and part Docson. We were planning on naming him Garth because 'schweenie' reminded me of 'schwing'. Here is a picture of him:

Work has been great, but extremely tiring. My feet are KILLING me from being on them all day today. I am  really having a blast, though. I am meeting a lot of amazing people.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR MARCH. Why, you may ask. Well, Emerald City comic con with you!!!!! (And Game of Thrones/Doctor Who at the end of March, just saying). (Oh, and my birthday is totally in March, too). I am mega tired, I will make another post about the rest of the shit that's going on, I plomise. (That 70s show reference)

I am so sorry that you were feeling sick... but I am glad that now you have built up immunity and won't get that virus again :)

 

Well, I haven't really done anything too exciting... I didn't get the lab job I was looking forward to :( It  definitely has made me very sad and my self-esteem is pretty low but I am working very hard at turning around my point of view of myself!

 

Anyways, I did go to the Seattle Art Museum on January 12, 2013 for the Elles: Pompidou and Elles:SAM exhibit. You know, feminism, no bras, lots of v. Some of it was so beautiful and well executed while other parts was just.... graphic. I am obviously not an art critic but there were many pieces that moved me! There was a specific one.. a b/w photo of a beautiful woman... like flawless... short blonde hair, big eyes/lips, perfect nose ... and I was so captivated at her beauty that I wanted to know who that perfect specimen was.... turns out it was a mannequin!!! The artist was trying to demonstrate that we as a whole want to seek the most perfect specimen even though no such thing exists... and dude, she got me! I haven't always thought of myself as a cookie cutter person but I definitely fit her audience :/! Anyways here are some photos!

 

 

 

 

 

 

So that was fun.. but something a WHOLE lot more fun was a set of chemistry experiments at the Dollar Tree!!! Can you believe it?! Make your own snow, grow your own bouncy balls, and grow your crystals! I was so excited... I know they are meant for kids, but I wanted them :) Now to find someone to do these experiments with! When are you coming down, again? haha

Sick day

Hello there, herman. Your last post was very touching; I am not sure how to tell you how much it means to me. I miss you so very much. I hope you hear from the Uni soon, and when you do CALL ME!!!!! You look adorable in that Seattle gear!!! I love Ben's picture, though. haha!!

I started my new job this week, and boy it is a hand full! I really like it, though. I worked the closing shift (leaving at 12am or later all week) but this upcoming week I work 10am-6pm. I only worry about traffic, now.
I REALLY need to move to L.A. The drive to work with traffic is about an hour. AN HOUR!!!!! I decided that once I move to the city I can allow myself a pet. (I want a dog). :) My roommates here are great- it makes me sad to need to leave Long Beach already. Alex, the roomie across the hall from me has two cats, and they're great. There is weird kitty and Coop.

So my title: I feel so sick today!!! :( I'm sure I just need more rest, but for now I'll drink tea, watch Sherlock and be a couch potato (my favorite pass-time).  Mmm I am unsure which is yummier, my tea or Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. SO, last night I played game of thrones again. I was this time the Baratheons, and I was betrayed repeatedly. Damn those Lannisters!! It's a very fun game, I cannot wait to play it with you and Ben sometime. Heres my tea:

I am very excited for the con in emerald city!!! I found flights ~300 round trip to Seattle and back! I would jsut have to figure out my work schedule around it, too. And save up some money, too. haha! We should invite Oscar to join! He wants to see Seattle, perfect time!!!!!! What do you say?

Man, I miss you. Today for some reason (I think it was the actual phone call) is especially hard to not get to see you, hang out with you, or fight ;) with you.

I haven't heard back from the job and that makes me nervous but I suppose I should count my blessings. I still have to make you a bag and I owe you a few skirts :) I am trying to make my Sundays the craft/sewing days. Tomorrow I am going to the Seattle Art museum to get to see the Elle exhibit from Paris.... Feminism is big here hah! And on Sunday morning B and I will be watching the Seahawks play against the falcons, GO HAWKS! I had to wear blue and green to the School today since its the Friday before a game (apparently it is Seattleite tradition to wear the blue/green combo on these specific Fridays).... I had to squeeze my chubby Seattle butt into my green skinny jeans and it was not pretty :/ i added a couple of the photographs down below.

Can you tell which one Ben took without my guidance? Men... What can you do? 

It was pretty fun to see all the kids with their Seahawks jerseys on :) Seattleites have a lot of pride when it comes to their sports teams.

Well my lovely sister I have run out of things to say since my life is pretty quiet! I am hoping I will be able to change that soon :)

Happy New Year!!!

So my New Year was spent at Disneyland, BUT my phone died at 6pm, so I have no cool pictures. I did run into Cruella, Jack Skellington and Sally, Mary Poppins, the Beast and other cool characters, though! I SWEAR. Charles works there, so I got to be with him at midnight, which was nice!

Searched the entire park for yellow panties. Finally found some around 9pm, haha. So worth the $30 right?

I start my job tomorrow, so I won't have the freetime I have had lately with the internet. I'm sure I'll manage ;) Seeing as my cakeday is the 8th!!!!!

I am so excited for this upcoming year, dude! 2013 will be awesome!
Well anyways, time to catch up...
I painted a shelf I bought for $5 at an estate sale and I'm in the process of making it a makeup stand /book holder... I added photos but who knows how that will show up since I'm writing this entry from my phone!
I roasted my own garlic, it was DELICIOUS!
Right now, I am starting an apparel sewing circle with a new friend and I am really excited! The next three months will definitely tell whether I can sew my own wedding dress by myself or not :/
OH I bought the pattern for the wedding dress I want! Its McCalls M6466 if you want to search for it! My dream wedding dress is the pink one (but try to envision it in mint green or liiight grey!).
Ben has been logging MANY hours on skyrim! It's making me go nuts! In fact, we are in bed and while I'm typing on my phone he is playing the game.... le sigh.
